OUTREACH CLOSET OPENThe Outreach closet has been updated and is now open. On the doors there is information about what you can bring for it, and where to take things that we don't have room for (like clothing). Here's what you can share: Labels for Education: Several Enid and area schools participate in this program. Mostly what is needed is the UPC (the bar code) from the can or box of Campbell's, Franco-American, V-8, Pepperidge Farm, Swanson's, Spaghetti-O's, and Prego products. If you're in doubt, there's a list on the door or you can go to their website at http://www.labelsforeducation.com/participating-products.aspx Poptops: These can help support the Ronald McDonald houses, which provide housing and some other services for the families of hospitalized children. Items for YWCA: Toiletries, especially hotel or trial sizes. Eyeglasses: The Lions Club still collects these. Bingo prizes: The Commons can use snacks, men's socks, toiletries, or jewelry; Divinely Inspired will be glad to repair/refurbish old or broken jewelry for this purpose. Non-perishable foods: This doesn't go in the closet, but in the cupboard in the narthex. There's a list on the closet door of items that are always needed. Thanks in advance to all of you who participate in this effort to reach out to our community!
